The University of North Carolina at Asheville administers the grievance procedures in accordance with the UNC grievance policy. The grievance procedure allows for the prompt, orderly and efficient resolution of problems and differences arising between the supervisor and employee.
This grievance procedure applies to former employees and employees in positions that are subject to the State Human Resources Act (SHRA) and to applicants for positions that are subject to the State Human Resources Act. A covered person’s rights to maintain a grievance under this regulation will depend upon the person’s status (e.g. former employee, applicant, career state employee, non-career state employee) and whether the person has presented a grievable issue under the policy.
